Introduction to Directing

Directing is the act of making the invisible visible. It’s a dynamic dance between words and action, creativity and craft, and between actor, director, and audience. This hands-on class is focused on manifesting your vision and building your director’s tool-box. Analyze text, create theatrical space, and explore the rehearsal process. Practical experiments and scene work will culminate in a showcase for invited guests. Dive in, stimulate your creativity, and hone your craft. May be repeated.

MONDAYS 7-10 PM             2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24         $210                            Special offer from Berkeley Rep School of Theatre: Save 20% when you sign up for two $210 adult classes—pay only $330!
